Central Tokyo with Ginza, Tsukiji, and Nihonbashi — landmark shopping and food within walking distance.

About Chuo

Chuo is a polished central ward with some of Tokyo's most famous destinations. World-renowned Ginza runs from luxury boutiques to long-established Japanese confectioners. At the Tsukiji Outer Market you can eat superb seafood on the spot, and the lanes are busy with visitors from early morning. Nihonbashi has been a commercial centre since the Edo period and still holds historic department stores and traces of Edo culture. The riverside walks along the Sumida are popular, and water buses head towards Asakusa and Odaiba. Asakusa is about 15 minutes by train and Shinjuku about 20. Haneda Airport is roughly 40 minutes and Narita about 55. If you want Tokyo's history, food, and shopping in a single stay, Chuo is hard to beat.
