The heart of Osaka sightseeing, with Namba and Shinsekai on foot — made for street food and nightlife.

About Namba

Naniwa sits right in the middle of Osaka's sightseeing district and is full of energy. Dotonbori and Namba, the heart of Osaka food and entertainment, are right there, so takoyaki, okonomiyaki, and kushikatsu are all within easy reach. Dotonbori, with the Glico sign and its wall of extravagant signage, is the symbol of Osaka sightseeing and a firm favourite with overseas visitors. The Shinsekai district and Tsutenkaku Tower are also walkable, offering a deeper, retro side of Osaka culture. Shinsaibashi and Kuromon Market are close enough to explore on foot all day. Kyoto is about 35 minutes away by train and Kobe about 25. Kansai International Airport is roughly 45 minutes by train and Itami about 25. For travellers who want Osaka at full volume, Naniwa is the place to stay.
