The entrance has an auto-lock and the common areas are covered by security cameras, so you can settle in without feeling on edge even in an unfamiliar neighborhood. Walk about 3 minutes and you'll find a Maibasuket supermarket, more than enough for simple home cooking. One personal favorite: Oshiage Shokudo, a 60-year-old diner open from morning to night — handy for a meal right after check-in. Head toward Honjo-Azumabashi and you'll find Noguchi Fish Shop, which draws weekend queues, and Soma, a cozy seafood izakaya with an irori hearth — both loved by locals and worth peeking into. Some nights you can even catch the Tokyo Skytree lit up near the building, making it easy to turn an evening stroll into a dinner run.
