Chiba's 66km stretch of sandy coast, made for surfing trips and fresh seafood.

About Kujukuri

Kujukuri sits on one of Japan's largest stretches of white sand and pine coastline, running roughly 66km. Walk down to the shore and you reach Kujukuri Beach, chosen as one of Japan's finest beaches, while at its southern end Tsurigasaki Beach — the surfing venue for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics — gets quality waves all year round. The 22m Kujukuri Beach Tower, shaped like a shell, opens onto a panorama of the Pacific that is genuinely breathtaking at sunset. At the Kujukuri Sea Fishing Centre, one of the largest in the Kanto region, you can fish for more than 50 species without bringing any gear, which makes it good for families. The area is about 90 minutes from Tokyo Station by Seaside Liner express bus or by car, roughly 2 hours from Haneda Airport and 90 minutes from Narita.
